I had lots to do today after work. I did find this leaf pile in our yard that I liked the pattern. Pretty soon all will be covered with the white stuff. Not to mention cold. But this is Wisconsin and winter comes every year.

November 27, 2011 – Fish Dreams
Fish Dreams
Another Picture-Of-The-Day and another play date with Photoshop. I worked for most of today’s daylight, so not much to choose from for images. So, pick a cat and work with that. I am busy getting my Website updated, so I should be just capturing an image and posting it. But, instead, I play, for a short time, then go back to Website work. For me this is like doodling. I know I should take more time on the image, but time wise, I am limited. I combined two images, worked on colors, and applied a few filters. Princess held still for the entire time.

November 26, 2011 – Church On The Hill
Church On The Hill
Day 686 of my Picture-Of-The-Day project was a rainy and overcast day today. Ann and I spent most of the day driving back to our home town to lay Christmas wreaths on parents and grandparents graves. Something Ann does every year. I stood in the rain at the last cemetery looking up at the old 1800′s church on the hill and thought I could do some cool things in Photoshop. I should have instead of working on my Website, because the hockey game tonight started late due to the football game and then got out late, giving me less than on hour to post my Picture-Of-The-Day image before midnight. So I just had time to clean it up, apply a filter or two and call it a night.

We had hockey tonight so today’s Picture-Of-The-Day’s image was taken on the way to the game. I did a little work in Photoshop, but not a lot since it is late. I just played with some filters, trying to make it more gritty. I liked the lighting, so I worked on enhancing that some.

November 24, 2011 – Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving
This is my first Picture-Of-The-Day post in my new blog. I take a photograph a day and post it to several Websites. The way I do it is I have to have taken that image that day. I cannot use one from days ago, weeks ago or months ago. I am always taking photographs for my art, so it is not too hard to include one of them in my project. I have been doing this project for 684 days now. Almost two years. Some days have been a struggle because of issues with travel, internet connections, and time. But I have done it so far. It has been fun besides being a challenge.
This week I have been playing with Photoshop. I normally do not get much of a chance to play in Photoshop, since I use it for my art. Today I had a little more time and played some by removing the turkey’s head and replacing it with our cat’s head. Not a great job, but just playing around.
